High-speed inductive linear position sensor

With the high speed and precision of the sensor, machine builders can keep the position error in motor control applications to a minimum. As with all inductive linear position sensors, the high-speed variant has very short blind zones and can tolerate up to a 4 millimeter offset of the positioning element. As well as the high-speed variant with an SSI interface and 16-bit resolution, the angle sensor will also be offered in future with the higher output rate of 5 kHz. All Huiren Electronics sensors continue to be available in ten measuring lengths from 100 to 1,000 millimeter.

A new electronics sensors

A new electronics architecture increases the effective output rate of the sensor from 1 to 5 kHz. In conjunction with the short signal run time and the highly resolved output, the inductive linear position sensors can thus achieve the performance of potentiometers but without their disadvantages. Unlike potentiometers, the home position sensor offer permanent protection to IP67, provide non-contact measuring and are absolutely wear-free. The magnetic field immune sensors are therefore suitable for measuring axes with high-speed controls such as is used in injection molding machines.

Linear potentiometer position sensor application

The linear potentiometer position sensor can be used in any linear application up to 1200 inches. The system consists of a heavy-duty spring motor assembly attached to a precision machined cable drum. As the cable is pulled off of the precision drum, the drum rotates a shaft connected to it. The shaft is precisely geared such that the full number of revolutions of the drum is equal to the appropriate number of revolutions required by the chosen sensor. The Linear Sensor can provide accurate position feedback for linear motion up to 100 feet. Mounting for either resolver, encoder, cam switch or rotary potentiometer.

The positioning sensors camera-based system determines the current position based on a mounted bar code tape. This acts as a reference point against which the Huiren sensor can position itself accurately, depending on variants, over a length of up to 10 km and as little as 0.15 mm, regardless of whether the product travel path is in a straight line or curved.The potentiometer rotary position sensors determine lengths and speeds using the laser Doppler effect. This technology enables extremely precise measurements to be made of almost any material – at speeds of up to 80 m/s and material temperatures of up to 1,100°C.
