The mechanical detection of linear displacement sensor

In the Miniature linear displacement sensor the mechanical detection of linear movement is done by a slider cursor. The cursor construction of the sensor provides space saving integration up to 2000mm measurement stroke. To avoid vertical or angular misalignment a link ball is integrated in the cursor sled. For rough environmental conditions we recommend mounting the sensor in overhead position. A drip edge and a special cover under the sled prevent ingress of dust into the sensor. To ensure high accuracy and long lifetime for a good price performance ratio the position sensor potentiometer measuring principle is realized with a high-resolution conductive plastic resistance element. Since the potentiometric measuring principle delivers absolute values and requires no electronic conversion, the position feedback signal is true power on without delay, temperature stable and robust against EMC influences.
